Canvi i temps are two network browsing spaces built from a compilation of articles, pages, persons and links, all related with complexity in science. The research was carried out by Pau Alsina, Josep Perelló, Michele Catanzaro, Pere Monràs, Carles Tardío, Oriol Vallès, Irma Vilà and Santiago Ortiz.

This project starts with the need of Telefónica R+D to develop a dynamic map of emerging technologies in which the range of the company’s priorities can be managed and analyzed over time. (Telefónica I+D)

Project for Telefónica I+D and Terra Argentina for the development of an application which enables users to visualize, navigate and control the social network of Fotolog’s Terra photography service.The goal was to create a tool to represent graphically the social network of each user and their pictures and to enable them to exchange with the others users improving their interactivity.

Tool for the visualization, management and presentation of the museum’s photographic archive that would enable it to be consulted by topic, time and place in an intuitive visual way.

Bestiario developed this application within the framework of the exhibition 100th Anniversary JAE. The JAE application allows the user to study in visual form the history of the institution, the movements of the students it funded and the academic documents that have been produced thanks to the Junta para Ampliación de Estudios. The Atlas of the Electromagnetic Space is an interactive representation of the services that use our electromagnetic radio spectrum, ranging from 10kHz “radio navigation” to 100 GHz “inter-satellite communication”. The activity which unfolds throughout the Spectrum (mobile, satellite, wireless internet, broadcasting) is sorted by electromagnetic frequency. B10 is a space of information, media and ideas gleaned from the events celebrating 10 years of Berkman Center, mainly conferences, in 2007 and 2008. Drawing on images, videos, texts and web pages from a range of internet services, such as Delicious, Flickr or Youtube, B10 builds a network of diverse ideas and media. These

Biodiversity Map of biological registers by the Museu de Ciencies Naturals de Barcelona. This application depicts the distribution around the world
of thousand of species recollected by the Museum, some of them being new species discovery.

This online visualization map is based on data originated from Wainova, the World Alliance for Innovation, which brings together major science parks and business incubator associations throughout the world. The relational networks layered on top of the world map, illustrate a comprehensive, panoramic vision of “the knowledge and comprehension of innovation and his hugh importance for growth”. link project

The HCB is intended for creative construction of ideas. This interface presents the results of the users queries in a comprehensible fashion so that interaction involves minimal overhead while providing useful tools for an effective concept exploration. The development of HCB involved two parts, firstly the implementation of the relational database that merges both WordNet and ConceptNet corpuses of data while providing a set of queries that will return, in reasonable time, useful results for browsing among concepts.
